Back from Europe

So I thought I was going to have time to travel and go online; but, there was no time. We moved pretty quickly and the internet access was limited or too tedious to find.

Now that I'm at a computer which I can download images from, I have no images to download. While in Barcelona I was pickpocketed and my camera was taken. :( I do have the good fortune of having travel mates that took pictures so they'll be sending me some and it was all the pickpocket took. So, oh well. I'll post the pictures as I get them from my travle mates.

Other than that disappointing event Europe was terrific! It was hot but not as hot as it's been in the SFV. One of my travel mates and I got left behind in Pisa, but that was an added adventure. I got to climb St. Peter's dome, see Michealangelo's David and cup his cute behind with my hands, watch the light change in Florence, soak myself in the Mediterranean sea, eat gelato as often as possible, stand in front of the Guernica and honor it's history, and met a bunch of wacky people that have added to my life story.

I'm really glad I went and I'm going back for more. . .as soon as possible. . .with a camera permanently attached to my body!

ALLEZ LE BLEU!

overcast

Sorry no photos. I am yet to find a location that will allow me to connect my camera to the computer:[

The hotel we're staying in is pretty tiny. But we've only used it to shower and sleep. We have visited Mont Marte, Sacre Coeur, ate at La Bohem, took a boat ride around the Seine, had dinner in St. Michele and watched the fantastic game between Italy and Germany. That was on the forth!

On the fifth we visited Versailles, got lost in the Egyptian section of the Louvre, and watched the semi final between France and Portugal. This trip couldn't get any better!

Yesterday, off we went to Giverny to visit Monet's house and eat more ham and cheese sandwiches. We went to Champs-Elysees to see the Place de L'Etoile, and do some shopping. All the shops are here! We had steak and frech fries for dinner with champagne. Yummy! Dessert was ice cream with a birthday candle on top and a french waiter singing happy birthday in French!

Today we visit Notre Dame, St. Chapelle, ride the elevator to the top of the Eifel Tower, and visit the D'Orsay. We've checked off everything on our list so far. The metro is the way to go. And the French are pretty fantastic! :)

The European keyboard is all funky. The keys are in funny places!

All ready to go!

I'm packed and waiting for the day to get here.

I've gotten all my confirmations for the trip and have picked up my tickets and itineraries. The only problem I'm having is changing my return ticket. Maybe all of this trouble is a sign that I need not return :)
